What information do you need to prepare a quotation?
A useful brief includes the packaging type, finished size or product dimensions, required quantity, delivery country and preferred delivery date. If available, also send your artwork, brand colours, material preferences, finishing ideas or reference images. If some details are undecided, we can help you compare suitable options.
Can you help if I do not have a finished packaging design?
Yes. You can begin with your product dimensions, logo and a few reference images. We can help clarify the packaging structure, size, paper, handles, inserts and finishing direction. For production artwork, logos should normally be supplied in a suitable vector format where possible.
What is the process for ordering custom packaging?
A typical project moves through five stages: brief and quotation, structure and material specification, artwork and sample approval, production and quality checking, then packing and delivery. What is the minimum order quantity for custom packaging?
There is no single MOQ for every product. Minimum quantities depend on the structure, material, printing method, finishing process and level of customisation. A luxury paper bag, rigid gift box, folding carton, ribbon and printed tissue paper may each require a different production route. Your quotation will state the practical MOQ for the exact specification.
Why does custom packaging have a minimum order quantity?
Custom production may require printing plates, cutting dies, material preparation, colour setup and machine adjustment. These processes create setup costs before the first finished piece is produced. We can explain quantity breaks and suggest specification changes when another production method may offer better value.
What affects the price of a luxury paper bag?
The main factors are the finished dimensions, paper, printing coverage, handle material, reinforcement, finishing, quantity, packing method and delivery destination. The lowest unit price is not always the lowest total cost because carton volume, freight and storage also matter.
Can I order matching bags, boxes, ribbon and tissue paper together?
Yes. We can coordinate paper shades, printed colours, logo treatments, ribbon colours and finishing details across a packaging collection. Because each item may use a different material and printing process, exact visual matching should be evaluated through appropriate samples rather than assumed from a screen.

Which paper is best for luxury shopping bags?

Coated paper provides a smooth printing surface, while uncoated and textured papers offer a more tactile feel. Kraft and selected recycled papers can support a natural presentation, but their colour and surface influence the printed result.

How do you make sure a paper bag can carry the product safely?
The complete load path matters—not only paper thickness. Handle holes or attachments, folded tops, reinforcement boards, base cards, glue areas and gussets all contribute to performance. Providing the approximate product weight and packing method helps us recommend a suitable construction and testing route.

What types of custom gift boxes are available?
Options include rigid lid-and-base boxes, magnetic hinged boxes, drawer boxes, folding cartons and fold-flat rigid boxes. Each structure creates a different opening experience and has different storage, production and shipping implications.
What is the difference between a rigid box and a folding carton?
A rigid box is made from solid board wrapped with paper and normally travels in its finished shape. It offers a substantial presentation but occupies more space. A folding carton is made from foldable paperboard and is normally supplied flat, making it lighter and more space-efficient.
Can you make custom inserts for gift boxes?
Yes. Inserts can position, protect and present the product. The structure should be designed around the actual product dimensions, weight, orientation and removal experience. Product samples or accurate technical drawings may be required.
Can ribbon and tissue paper be customised?
Ribbon can be printed or finished with branding when the material, width, artwork and quantity are suitable. Tissue paper can use a logo or repeating pattern. Because tissue is thin and absorbent, printed colours may look softer than they do on coated paper or a screen.

Should packaging artwork be supplied in RGB, CMYK or Pantone?
RGB is designed for screens and should not be treated as a reliable production colour reference. CMYK is commonly used for process printing, while Pantone references can help communicate specific spot colours. The final method depends on the artwork, material, printing process and required consistency.
What types of packaging samples are available?
A digital mock-up helps review layout, a material sample helps compare colour and texture, a plain structural sample confirms size and construction, and a printed sample shows a result closer to production. Not every project needs the most expensive sample; we will explain what each route can and cannot confirm.
Why can the finished colour differ from my screen?
Screens display colour with light, while packaging reflects light from ink, paper and surface finishes. Monitor settings, paper shade, texture, lamination and surrounding colours all affect perception. For brand-critical colours, approve an appropriate physical proof rather than relying only on a screen image.
How should bags, boxes, ribbon and tissue paper be colour-matched?
The same colour can appear different across paper, ribbon, foil and tissue because each material reflects and absorbs light differently. Colour references and physical samples help create a coordinated result. Visual harmony is often more realistic than expecting every material to look mathematically identical.
Production and delivery
From approval to arrival.
How long does custom packaging production take?
Timing depends on the product, quantity, material availability, printing, finishing and sample requirements. The schedule normally includes artwork preparation, sampling, approval, production, quality checking and packing. Production timing should be counted from final approval, with shipping planned separately.
Do you ship custom packaging internationally?
Yes. Delivery can be planned by courier, air or sea according to the order volume, destination, required arrival date and budget. The quotation should state the proposed delivery basis and what is included so different offers can be compared accurately.
Why does packaging size affect shipping costs?
Paper packaging is often lightweight but bulky. Bag dimensions, box structure, folding method, units per carton and master-carton size can change shipment volume. Couriers and air-freight providers may compare actual weight with volumetric weight and charge based on the higher figure.
Is your custom packaging recyclable or sustainable?
Recyclability depends on the complete specification, including paper, coatings, lamination, adhesive, handles, magnets, inserts and decorative finishes. We can help compare lower-complexity structures, responsibly sourced papers and designs that reduce unnecessary material. Any environmental claim should match the final documented specification.
